And one of them that you can buy right now is the Nixie Hyperion 3, which is, well, I think the first ergonomic split design joypad built specifically for the Switch 2."
"And the reason that you can say that is that these are, as you can see, the grips, the controller mounting points for a Switch 2 console.
And that means that, yeah, you can detach your Joy-Con 2s from your Switch 2 and simply attach these if you want."
"You also get this, which is the rechargeable center mid-bridge, which can be used to convert them as you normally would to a pro-like controller.
Now the biggest thing, obviously here, this is if you think that holding the Joy-Con 2s, if you're a grown-ass person with grown-ass hands, you might think that the Switch 2's Joy-Con 2s are a little bit on the small side."
"Well, the problem isn't as big as it was on the original Nintendo Switch.
My hands, for instance, I have quite big hands, I found it to be painful when I was helping my son in a Mario game or whatever the case might be, because I just found them to be so small."
"It's kind of like clock-ripping a too-small mouse.
It just became really uncomfortable really quickly.
But now that these are more bulky, I find that to be less oppressive for longer stretches of time."
"But this is obviously a whole different ballgame.
This is a chunky one, and you can feel it immediately when you pick it up.
This isn't cheap per se, it's around $170, and there are a lot of that extra sauce which makes these extra accessories from third parties a better deal overall in most cases."
"I will say that it feels a little bit light, that's perhaps not a bad thing, but you could argue that it's because they're just poorly constructed.
They definitely don't feel as solid as the original Joy-Con 2s on the Switch 2.
But then again, the size, like in general, just means that you're probably going to be more comfortable playing this if you have larger hands."
"Now there are good specs as well.
The first thing that springs to mind is obviously these micro switches which they've used for these D-pads and the face buttons.

"The point is that these are simply just a little bit more tactile.
They feel like Umron switches on a SCUF controller and come off as more hardcore than the soft of cushiony button press that you get on a normal Switch controller or a Switch Pro controller for that matter."
"Now there is also Hall Effect joysticks.
I know that people have been struggling with stick drift on the original Joy-Cons for years and Nintendo lost a whole lot of money in court.
So to have the guarantee that this won't occur is pretty cool as well."
"And you also get a 9-axis gyro, meaning that you can use it for gyroscopic aiming.
That means that you can move it and control the cursor that way on screen.
It's said to last 6-8 hours on a charge, which doesn't seem like a whole lot.
I'm pretty sure that a Pro controller will do 40 hours, so that is a little bit concerning."
"But the main thing that I keep coming back to, obviously, is that this is an ergonomic upgrade.
If you want to switch to and you enjoy the games on that platform, but you just find it uncomfortable to hold or control, well, this is a really good alternative that is there for you."
